For law firms

Law firm admin, handled. Solicitors stay on law.

We build AI that answers enquiries and calls, books consultations, chases fees and collects documents for your firm, while every legal decision stays with your solicitors.

The problem

Where the hours go

Much of the time lost in a law firm is not legal work. It is the routine work around it, done by people who could be doing something better.

Enquiries

Enquiries that need sorting

Someone reads every web form and email, works out the area of law, checks the firm does that work and decides who should see it. The ones that are not a fit still need a polite reply.

Phones

Calls that land mid-meeting

Prospective clients ring while fee earners are in court, in meetings or with clients. A missed call from someone with a new matter can easily become a call to the next firm on their list.

Diary

Booking and rebooking consultations

Finding a time that suits the client and the right solicitor takes several messages back and forth. Every cancellation or late change starts the whole exercise again.

Onboarding

Chasing ID and signed paperwork

Before work starts you need identity documents, a signed client care letter and often source of funds information. Getting them back is mostly reminders, sent one at a time.

Billing

Money on account and unpaid bills

Requests for money on account, overdue invoices and second reminders all need sending, tracking and matching against your accounts, usually by someone with better things to do.

Filing

Documents scattered across inboxes

Clients send documents as replies, forwarded emails and phone photos. Someone has to check they are the right ones, name them sensibly and save them to the correct matter.

How it works

A new client, start to finish

How a new matter moves from first contact to instruction. The steps marked Waits for you are where a person at your firm decides.

  1. 01

    Enquiry captured

An email, web form or call comes in, day or night. The AI reads it, pulls out the names, the area of law, key dates and what the person wants, and logs it in your case management system where it offers a way in.

    Automatic
  2. 02

    Details gathered

If facts are missing, it asks for them: the other party's name for your conflict check, a property address, the date something happened. It never comments on the merits of the case.

    Automatic
  3. 03

    Conflict check and acceptance

Your team runs the conflict check and decides whether the firm will take the matter on. The AI prepares a clear summary. Accepting or declining is always a person's decision.

    Waits for you
  4. 04

    Consultation booked

Once you say yes, it offers real times from the right solicitor's diary, books the consultation and sends a confirmation with directions and a list of what to bring.

    Automatic
  5. 05

    Paperwork requested

It sends the client care letter your team approved and asks for the identity documents you need, then reminds the client politely until everything has arrived and is filed to the matter.

    Automatic
  6. 06

    ID verified, advice given

Your staff verify identity and complete anti-money laundering checks under your firm's procedures. Your solicitors give the advice. The AI keeps the admin moving around them.

Example

A call at 7:40 in the evening

A prospective client rings after hours about a lease dispute. The names are fictional.

ClientHi, I'm calling about my shop lease. The landlord says I owe two years of service charges.
AI receptionistThanks for calling. I'm the firm's AI receptionist, so I can't give legal advice, but I can take the details and get you in front of a solicitor. Can I take your name?
ClientIt's Priya. Do you think I actually have to pay it?
AI receptionistThat's one for a solicitor, Priya, and they'll want to read the lease first. Could you tell me the landlord's name, so the team can check they're able to act for you?
ClientIt's Elmfield Properties.
AI receptionistThank you. The team will check that and confirm by tomorrow lunchtime. If they can help, I can hold Thursday at 10:30 for a consultation. Shall I do that?
ClientYes, Thursday's fine.
AI receptionistDone. You'll get a text now, and a confirmation once the team has said yes. Please bring the lease and any letters from the landlord.

Confidentiality

Built around how law firms work

Client confidentiality is the starting point, not an add-on. We build on enterprise AI that does not train on your data, such as Microsoft Azure OpenAI, hosted in the UK or EU where you need it. For the most sensitive work, open models can run on your own servers or private cloud, so client information stays on your network.

The system works inside the tools you already use: your case or practice management system, email and calendar, where they offer a way in. Accounts, logs and data stay in your firm's name. We map where every piece of information goes before we build, so you can check it against your own policies and show your clients.

Your professional duties stay with your firm, and the system is designed to support them. Conflict checks, client identity and anti-money laundering checks, advice and the decision to accept instructions are done by your people. Where you publish price and service information under the SRA transparency rules, the AI points enquirers to it rather than quoting figures of its own.

  • Says it is an AI from its first line
  • No legal advice or views on the merits
  • Conflict checks run by your team
  • ID and AML checks verified by your staff
  • Models that do not train on client data
  • Accounts and logs in your firm's name
The rules it works by

Hard limits for a law firm

  • It never gives legal advice.Questions about rights, merits or likely outcomes go to a solicitor. It takes the details and books the conversation.
  • It never accepts instructions.Taking on a matter is your decision, made after your own conflict check.
  • It never moves client money. It can send a payment link for a bill or money on account. It cannot pay, transfer or refund.
  • It never invents a fee.It only gives the price information your firm has approved and published. Anything else goes to a person.

Questions from law firms

Will it give clients legal advice?

No. It is built to recognise questions about rights, merits or outcomes and pass them to a solicitor. It says plainly that a solicitor will advise, takes the details and books the conversation.

Does it run our conflict checks?

No. It collects what your team needs, such as the names of other parties, and puts it in front of the person who runs the check. Whether the firm can act is decided by your people.

Can it handle client ID and anti-money laundering checks?

It can request ID documents, chase them and file what arrives to the matter. Verifying identity and completing AML checks stays with your staff, under your firm's own procedures.

Where does client data go?

To enterprise AI that does not train on your data, hosted in the UK or EU where needed, or to open models on your own servers for the most sensitive work. Accounts and logs stay in your firm's name, and we map every data flow with you before we build.

Will it work with our case management system?

We build on the tools you already use. Where your case management, email and calendar systems offer a way in, such as an API, the AI works inside them. If one does not, the audit tells you what is and is not possible before you commit to a build.

What does it cost?

An audit is £1,500 and is credited against a build. Builds start from £8,000 with a fixed scope agreed up front, and running it costs £499 a month, month to month. The written proposal sets the final price.
